What are the Powerful Prism Panthers all about? This page is to help you decide if the "Panthers" are right for YOU. The Powerful Prism Panthers team was started in BLC #17, as it became clear that we needed a special team for people who are either at goal weight (and want to maintain their "losses") or who are near their goal weight. Panthers are veterans of weight loss. In general, they know what they need to do to lose weight. They know what works for them. They have, however, different challenges:
The Powerful Prism Panthers are a friendly, supportive group that celebrates all types of victories -- on the scale and off! Our motto is "Participation not Perfection"! And because we are the BLC’s maintenance group, several members have been here for many rounds and always welcome new Spark friends to support them and urge them on to the “land” of long-term healthful living. |
What do we expect of our panthers? Panthers are expected to participate, within their abilities, in competitions and challenges, and to be a contributing member of the team on the "chat" thread. Again, our motto is "Participation, not Perfection". We do NOT require on-line daily tracking of food and exercise, as many of the other teams do. (Although most of us do "track" our food one way or another, simply because that is what "works" for most of us.) What is the weekly schedule on the "Powerful Prism Panther" team? Wednesday: Weigh-in and final chance to record scores for TNT, WEC, and LCW challenges Wednesday OR Thursday: TNT (tone and tighten, ie strength training) Friday through Monday: WEC (weekend challenge) Tuesday: LCW (last chance workout) In addition we often have questions of the day, a weekly maintenance topic, and other fun things going on in our chat thread. As "Panthers" we want to discover ways to make maintenance a long-term way of living....and to enjoy ourselves while doing so! |
